Maintenance-electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic exp req - Date Posted: 2/1/2020

PRODUCTION HOURS: Mon-Fri 7 AM-3:30 PM

Job Summary:
Responsible for inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting and repairing all plant equipment assigned to him/her. Employee must follow a systematic process for accomplishing preventive, scheduled and emergency equipment maintenance. Employee must be knowledgeable of industrial electricity (all phases and voltages), mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic operations, troubleshooting techniques, blueprint, schematic analysis and proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment. An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and needs to be willing to learn new tasks as needed.

  • Forklift repair / maintenance / operation

  • Repairing and maintenance of company vehicles
  • Building Maintenance/General Carpentry
  • Electrical / Plumbing Installation / Repair
  • Air compressor repair / maintenance

Tool/Machine/Technology Requirements:

  • Must be able to use all hand tools, including pneumatic and hydraulic

Job Requirements:

  • Computer proficiency (Outlook and scheduling software)
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, squat repetitively throughout work day
  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
  • See and hear within reasonably acceptable limits, (this includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally)
  • Use time management skills and prioritization to accomplish the day's tasks in the hours provided
  • Must be self-motivated as much of the day is unsupervised
  • This is a 40 hour per week position and may require mandatory overtime hours
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Required PPE:

  • Steel toed shoes

OFFICE HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY, some OT available depending on workload

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:

  • A+ certified or similar
  • other certifications helpful, but not required

Vestil has five locations, all within a square mile, interconnected with 40GB fiber links on a campus style network.  We currently have 300+ email users, 40 Servers, 275+ workstations, and 45+Tb in our active/passive data catalog.  Qualified candidates will have experience in a similar work environment.

Preferred Candidate Skills & Qualities:

  • 2+ years help desk / administration experience
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Performs post-resolution follow ups
  • Strong experience with desktop operating systems
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly, business-friendly and technical language
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment, and working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes - a plus Tasks that will be assigned:
